Blessed are
the meek,
for they
shall inherit the earth.
Matt. 5:5
Short Version
We came to find true and
lasting happiness by taking this third step:
I stopped standing in
judgement over GodA, othersB and myselfC and
meekly admitted that I was responsible for the mess I had made of my lifeD.
In meekness, I asked King Jesus to rule over me by his WordE and
SpiritF and enable me to regain control of my life on this earth,G
and so live to his gloryH. By this, I and all other true Christians
will eventually inherit the earthI.

Longer Version
We came to find true and lasting happiness by taking
this third step:
In my pride I once thought I was the one who
could decide how to live my life and blamed others for my problems, but I now meekly admit I am responsible for
the mess my life has becomeA. I stopped standing in judgement over God and his Word the BibleB, over othersC and over myselfD and I stopped expecting to find comfort in the things of this worldE. I meekly accept that since God is the
designer, creator, and sustainer of this earthF, the rightful king
of this earth is the Lord Jesus Christ.G I meekly tremble at his wordH
and accept him as my king . Therefore there is no part of my life that is
beyond his control or authorityH. He alone knows how all human life
should be lived and he has revealed this through the law of ChristI
summarised in the Ten CommandmentsJ. I therefore submit myself to
the law of Christ, so I can learn about God’s loving character and my own
overwhelming need for forgiveness in every part of my lifeK. Then,
having been redeemed and forgiven, out of love and gratitudeL, I
need the law of Christ to learn how I was designed to liveM and how
to become more like ChristN. As he continues to redeem me, he will
enable me to become increasingly obedient to the law of ChristO, he
will help me regain possession of my lifeP
on this earth and God will receive the credit and glory for doing so. By this,
I and all other true Christians will eventually inherit the earth.S
