Step 7. Evangelism.

Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they shall be called sons of God.

We came to find true and lasting happiness by taking this seventh step:

Having experienced the peace of God which passes understanding^A, I will encourage anyone alienated from God^B to follow these eight steps and know the way of peace^C for themselves, and as I do so I shall delight in knowing God as my Father^D.

We came to find true and lasting happiness by taking this seventh step:

I once was alienated from God, from others and from myself^A, but God reconciled me to himself by making peace by the blood of Christ’s cross^B, and ended the hostility I once felt towards God, others and myself^C. Now he gives me the peace of God which passes all understanding and guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus^D. Therefore as a member of Christ’s kingdom and church, I will aim for the restoration of broken relationships, seek to bring comfort others, agree with others in the Word, and so live in peace^E with the household of God^F. If possible, so far as it depends on me, I will also seek to live peaceably with everyone else I know^G. As peace is so needed in this troubled world, I will encourage anyone alienated from God to follow these eight steps and know the way of peace for themselves^H. I will also pray for and work towards Christ being recognised as the Prince of Peace, and acknowledged as King over every government^I. As I do so, I shall grow in my delight of having the right to call God my Father^J, for he has adopted me, and has given me full rights of access to all the immeasurable riches of grace in Christ Jesus^K, and he now loves me even as he has always loved his eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ^L.
